Katastrofen / La catástrofe es una performance escénica y audiovisual, transatlántica entre Bergen y La Habana. Su impulso poético inicial vino del encuentro de Solvei Stoutland con Heidi Køhn y con la historia que dio origen a «Jeg er Ikaros». Todo empezó en Bergen, en talleres y sesiones de investigación con Apropos Teater / Bergen Byspill, una colaboración artística que ya venía de proyectos anteriores.
Estaba pensada para el Festival Internacional Espacios Ibsen, en La Habana, y siguió tomando forma entre las dos ciudades hasta la definitiva.
La obra reúne actuación, dramaturgia, creación colectiva y lenguaje audiovisual. Raúl Capote Braña la co-creó y la interpretó; dirigió y realizó además toda su dimensión audiovisual: el registro completo de la performance y el tráiler de esta página.
Katastrofen / The Catastrophe is a transatlantic stage and audiovisual performance, made between Bergen and Havana. Its initial poetic impulse came from Solvei Stoutland’s meeting with Heidi Køhn and the story behind “Jeg er Ikaros”. It all began in Bergen, in workshops and research sessions with Apropos Teater / Bergen Byspill, an artistic collaboration that went back to earlier projects.
Meant for the Espacios Ibsen International Festival in Havana, it kept taking shape between the two cities until it reached its final form.
The work brings together acting, dramaturgy, collective creation and audiovisual language. Raúl Capote Braña co-created and performed it; he also directed and produced its entire audiovisual dimension — the full performance recording and the trailer on this page.

Jeg er Ikaros (Yo soy Ícaro)(I am Icarus)
Katastrofen no inventa una catástrofe: parte de una real. La escritora noruega Heidi Køhn escribió «Jeg er Ikaros» —Yo soy Ícaro— después de perder a su esposo y a su hijo en el tsunami de 2004. Esa pérdida, cruzada con Ibsen y con Cheryl Marie Wade, es lo que sube al escenario.
Katastrofen doesn’t invent a catastrophe: it starts from a real one. Norwegian writer Heidi Køhn wrote “Jeg er Ikaros” —I Am Icarus— after losing her husband and her son in the 2004 tsunami. That loss, crossed with Ibsen and with Cheryl Marie Wade, is what takes the stage.
